Guy Potvin is a Managing Director with Teneo Strategy. Mr. Potvin currently advises clients on the issues and topics that are most critical to their business and reputation, with a particular focus on corporate and financial communications, crisis and conflict situations, reputation management, leadership positioning, M&A, IPOs and shareholder activist defense.
During his career in New York and London, Mr. Potvin’s clients have spanned a variety of industries and range from the world’s biggest multinational corporations to successful startups. He has counseled clients during a number of high-profile transactions, including: Groupon’s $12 billion IPO; Mars’ $23 billion acquisition of the Wm. Wrigley Jr. Company; and Tenet Healthcare’s $4.3 billion acquisition of Vanguard Health Systems. Mr. Potvin served on the crisis response team for BP following the Gulf of Mexico oil spill, as well as providing counsel to the company during the ensuing multi-year litigation and related settlements.
Prior to joining Teneo, Mr. Potvin was a Director at Brunswick Group where he counseled clients on financial and investor communications and special situations across a range of industries. While at Brunswick Group he spent two years based in the firm’s London headquarters.
Prior to Brunswick Group, Mr. Potvin was a member of the Financial Communications group at Edelman.
