Harry van Dyke

Harry van Dyke is the Chief Operating Officer of Teneo Capital. Mr. van Dyke joined Teneo with 25 years of investment banking experience, having completed over $100 billion in M&A transactions involving companies in more than 25 countries. Most of those transactions took place during Mr. van Dyke's 22 years at Morgan Stanley, where he began his career in the firm's New York-based Mergers & Acquisitions Department.
Following assignments in New York and London, where he focused on cross-border transactions, Mr. van Dyke established Morgan Stanley's Latin American M&A effort in the mid-'90s, building and leading a team that developed and executed transactions from Mexico to Argentina.
Mr. van Dyke relocated to Hong Kong in 1997 to develop Morgan Stanley's Asia Pacific M&A operation, where he built the firm's business from $20 million in revenue to $125 million and from four professionals to 75. He was responsible for a region that included a dozen countries and stretched from Korea to Australia, and from Taiwan to India.
Mr. van Dyke returned to the U.S. in 2003 to establish an investment banking transaction development group that targeted private equity firms. He developed relationships with over 120 financial sponsor firms, and was named Co- Head of Morgan Stanley's Financial Sponsors Group for the U.S.
In 2006, Mr. van Dyke was hired away by Bank of America to establish a business development group serving BofA's entire investment bank. The group combined strategic, financial and market analyses to produce proprietary opportunities for a broad array of the bank's best clients. Mr. van Dyke also managed Bank of America's Middle Market M&A and Corporate Divestitures efforts, and served on the Investment Banking Leadership Team.
Mr. van Dyke is a cum laude graduate of Yale University with a B.A. degree in Economics and in Engineering & Applied Science. He also received an M.B.A., with honors, from the Harvard Business School.
